Before you begin, remember
- Never subtract times with column subtraction - 13:15 minus 10:47 does not work that way, because there are 60 minutes in an hour, not 100.
- In 24-hour time, subtract 12 from any hour above 12 to get the afternoon time: 17:30 is 5:30 pm.
