11+ Maths Mock Tests Online
A mock test is a full-length paper sat under exam conditions, covering every topic in one timed sitting. Topic practice builds individual skills; a mock builds the thing topic practice cannot - the stamina and pacing needed to keep working accurately for the length of a real exam.
Mocks are also the most reliable diagnostic available. A child who scores well on every topic separately but struggles in a mock usually has a timing problem rather than a knowledge problem, and that is a very different thing to fix. Sitting a mock without pausing, and reviewing every wrong answer afterwards, is worth more than sitting three without review.

Maths Mock Tests: tips that earn marks
- Sit the whole paper in one go without stopping. The point of a mock is the endurance, and pausing removes it.
- If a question stalls you, move on and come back. Two minutes lost early can cost several easy marks at the end.
- Review every wrong answer afterwards and work out which topic it belongs to. The pattern in the mistakes is what tells you where to revise next.
- Aim to leave a few minutes at the end to check. Careless errors are the cheapest marks to recover in the whole exam.
Questions parents ask about Maths Mock Tests
How often should a child sit a mock test?
Roughly one a fortnight in the months before the exam, with topic practice in between. More frequent mocks leave no time to act on what they reveal.
Should mock tests be timed?
Yes. An untimed mock measures knowledge, which topic papers already do. The timing is the whole reason to sit one.
What score should a child aim for?
It depends entirely on the school and the year, and raw percentages are rarely comparable between boards. Improvement across successive mocks is a far more useful signal than any single score.
