11+ Geometry: 2D Shapes & Angles Online Tests
Geometry at 11+ level is about knowing the properties of shapes and being able to calculate missing angles from a small set of reliable facts. It rewards knowledge that is genuinely memorised, because almost every question is solved by applying one of a handful of angle rules.
The essential facts are: angles on a straight line total 180 degrees, angles around a point total 360, the angles of a triangle total 180, and the angles of a quadrilateral total 360. Add the properties of the common triangles and quadrilaterals, and most 11+ geometry questions become a single step.

Not for these online papers - every angle is calculated from the given facts rather than measured. Some paper-based 11+ exams do include measuring, so it is worth practising separately.
Which angle facts are most worth memorising?
The four sums: 180 on a straight line, 360 around a point, 180 in a triangle, 360 in a quadrilateral. Nearly every question reduces to one of these.
Are 3D shapes included?
Shape properties such as faces, edges and vertices can appear, but the calculation questions concentrate on 2D. Volume of cuboids is covered under area, perimeter and volume.
